Royal Navy vs Penzance

The RN Water Polo team played against Penzance in the Jubilee Pool situated on the promenade in Penzance.  The water was a very cool 16 Celsius and a large factor in a disappointing performance, it did however provide a platform from which to build upon at the Culdrose Tournament.

The Royal Navy Water Polo Team put in a very creditable performance in this years Culdrose Tournament.  They finished 4th out of 6 teams in the mens competition and the ladies finished 3rd in their first ever competition.  The RN team achieved victories against Barnstaple and Grants Gorillas (Newquay B) and drew against Basingstoke before losing on the golden goal rule.  The Navy then lost narrowly to both Jersey and Newquay and qualified for 3rd/4th playoff on the Sunday.  As can be seen in the pictures below a good time was had by all on the Saturday evening and this had a considerable effect on the Sunday performance; enough said!
